Itinerary
GUWAHATI – SHILLONG (100kms / 3hrs)
You will be received at the airport/railway station by our representative/ driver and drive to Shillong – the Scotland of the East. On the way visit Umium Lake – the biggest artificial lake in Meghalaya. On arrival check-in at Hotel. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at Shillong.
SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJEE (60kms/2hrs)
After breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee. Enroute visit the Elephant Falls. At Cherrapunjee visit the Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sisters Falls and Nohkhalikai Falls. Back to Shillong for overnight stay.
SHILLONG – MAWLYNNONG (85kms/2.50hrs)
After morning breakfast drive to Mawlynnong – the cleanest village in Asia. On reaching Mawlynnong visit the living root bridge, balancing rock and after lunch drive to Dawki – to see the cleanest river of India –Umngot River. Enjoy a boat ride and back to Shillong. Overnight at Shillong.
SHILLONG – GUWAHATI (100kms/3hrs)
After breakfast we will take half day excursion tour of Shillong. Visit Cathedral of Mar and Ward Lake. After lunch drive back to Guwahati for overnight stay. (Optional Tour on Extra Payment: Evening/Dinner River Cruise on river Brahmaputra)
GUWAHATI DEPARTS
Early morning visit Kamakhya Temple on the Nilachal Hills – a seat of the tantric cult in India and one of the 108 Shakti Piths in the country. After visit back to Hotel for breakfast. Check-out of hotel and explore shopping for mementoes (if time permits) and proceed to Railway Station/ Airport with sweet memories of the journey.
